IA-DAK Summer Showdown Awards

 Guidelines for the class are as follows: 

• This class is offered to Grand Champion Halter horses/ponies from all ASPC or AMHR OPEN division halter classes. 
•  All 3 judges will place their top 3 and call judge will break a tie. 1 winner from AMHR and 1 winner from ASPC.  
• If an exhibitor has more than 1 horse eligible for this class, he/she will be allowed to do the trot pass inspection of the horse/pony then will have a handler step in to continue to show the horse. He/she then can do the trot pass inspection with their next eligible horse.  Once a horse/pony is handed to another exhibitor, that exhibitor must stay with that horse/pony until class is complete.

We are excited to offer both a Youth and an Amateur High Point award at the 2026 IA-DAK Summer Showdown! There will be one Youth and one Amateur High Point awarded from AMHR classes and one Youth and one Amateur High Point awarded from ASPC/ASPR classes.

Rules to enter an exhibitor and pony for the award are as follows: 

• Pay $20.00 per Pony/Exhibitor Pair. (Can enter more than one pony but must pay per pair.) 
• The same pony can be entered one time in each division.
• Must have completed form turned into Show Office before the start of the first class of the show.
• Select One Halter Class and 3 Performance Classes from the eligible classes to count for your points. 
• A driving class is NOT required but can be selected as one of your 3 classes.
• Points will be awarded from all judge’s cards.
• No changing of selected classes after the show has started is allowed!
